Growing up in the heart of New York City, I quickly learned that life—and leadership—is about knowing when to pivot. Every space has its written rules, but real success comes from understanding the unwritten ones: the culture, the codes, the nuances. In a city where resilience is currency and nothing is handed to you, I built my foundation on grit, adaptability, and an unshakable belief in the power of people.
I’m Ebony H. Bradshaw—HR executive, certified facilitator, and founder of HR House Rules, a consulting firm helping mission-driven organizations transform their people strategy and workplace culture. With over 25 years of experience across corporate, nonprofit, and public sectors, I bring a sharp mix of street-smart intuition and boardroom expertise to every challenge I tackle.
Currently, I serve as the Director of Human Resources & Strategy at a nationally recognized nonprofit, where I lead full-cycle people operations and drive inclusive, future-ready workforce strategies. My work focuses on aligning HR with organizational impact, strengthening culture, and embedding equity into every layer of the employee experience.

I earned my B.A. in Business Administration from North Carolina Central University and hold multiple leadership and diversity certifications, including recognition as a Bold, Inclusive Conversations Facilitator through The Winters Group. I’m also an active member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the American Alliance of Museums, and other professional networks that fuel my commitment to growth and community impact.
